The “Fr\u0103sine\u015fti” border guards detained three Turkish citizens who planned to swim the Prut River in order to reach one of the EU countries. The three were detected last night within a specific action held against illegal migration.<\/p>\n

Around 23:00, the “Fr\u0103sine\u015fti” Border Police Sector patrol operated according to a specific operative information, directed towards the spot of M\u0103c\u0103re\u015fti, Ungheni district.<\/p>\n

As a result, there were three people rushing to the borderline on the outskirts of the village. Their actions have been monitored for a while and, when their intentions to cross the border illegally have been established, border guards have intervened forcefully.<\/p>\n

During the detention, the three individuals did not submit to verbal speeches, trying to flee from the scene. Under these circumstances, the Border Police employees had to use the armament, endowing two warning shots in compliance with the legal norms.<\/p>\n

Three men aged 25, 31 and 51 were identified as Turkish citizens. They had luggage in which three inflatable circles, exchange clothes, polyethylene bags, mobile phones, cords, and Turkish passports, all of which were based on the arrival to Moldova.<\/p>\n

For further inquiries and listening of the detainees who did not speak the state language, the individuals were led to the Sector Headquarters.<\/p>\n
