He discussed with the experts on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/igor-dodon-signs-decree-initiate-consultative-referendum-4-topics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">his initiative<\/a>\u00a0to extend President&#8217;s power at dissolving the Parliament in more situations. According to the former Socialist, only the political forces who monopolized the power and fear losing it oppose it.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the President is sure about the popular support for a Presidential system:<em>&#8220;If in Moldova\u00a0one raised the question on switching to a\u00a0Presidential republic, the majority of citizens would support this initiative&#8221;<\/em>, said Dodon, quoted by <a href=\"http:\/\/newsmaker.md\/rus\/novosti\/dodon-moldove-nuzhna-zhestkaya-prezidentskaya-vlast-31449\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Newsmaker<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;Note this, I am not talking about &#8220;if&#8221;, but &#8220;when&#8221; we will raise this question.
