Interestingly enough, Plahotniuc says that the reform would imply to renounce from\u00a0the political sharing of positions in the Government, which clearly favors his party.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Democrats, the future Government would have one Prime-Minister, three Vice-PMs and 9 Ministries instead of the current 16:<\/p>\n<p>-Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure;<\/p>\n<p>-Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration;<\/p>\n<p>-Ministry of Finances;<\/p>\n<p>-Ministry of Internal Affairs;<\/p>\n<p>-Ministry of Justice;<\/p>\n<p>-Ministry of Defense;<\/p>\n<p>-Ministry of Education, Culture and Research;<\/p>\n<p>-Ministry of Health and Social Protection;<\/p>\n<p>-Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the governmental agencies would be united.<\/p>\n<p>The Democrat leader also reiterated the position of the party on not giving up on the uninominal electoral system. Plahotniuc, supported by the Justice Minister Vladimir Cebotari, said the Democrats would implement the uninominal system later, in 2022, after\u00a0<em>the voters will try\u00a0<\/em>the mixed electoral system. A bunch of folders with papers were present in the briefing room next to Plahotniuc, supposedly proving that the Democrats got the signatures of over 850 thousand people in support of the single-member constituency system.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pdm.md\/files\/news_images\/big_img_2559.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In his turn, Cebotari stressed the importance of the review of Venice Commission on\u00a0the draft law on the mixed and uninominal electoral systems, but mentioned that the Commission has only a consultative role:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;There is a false expectation that they (<\/em>Venice Commission experts- Moldova.ORG)<em>\u00a0<\/em><em>would come up with an opinion on the opportunity to change the electoral system. Those presenting themselves as opposition make false pressures upon the experts of the Commission and mislead the citizens&#8221;<\/em>, added\u00a0Justice Minister.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>grey\u00a0<\/em><em>eminence\u00a0<\/em>of the Moldovan politics believes that the two reforms cannot\u00a0be stopped by the opposition:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;If we are emotional about every flash mob, no reform will be made in this country. We are ready for this kind of provocations. We will respect all opinions, but the decisions will be taken with respect to the interest of the majority of citizens&#8221;<\/em>, declared Plahotniuc.<\/p>\n<p>The Democrat went so far as to tell that, during the current protests\/flash mobs, the opposition hides &#8220;<em>under the skirt of NGOs that it politicized&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>On May 5th, 52 MPs of the\u00a0ruling coalition voted the draft law on the uninominal electoral system\u00a0in the first lecture.
