On April 7th, the Prime-Minister of Moldova, Pavel Filip, met<\/a> the delegation of People’s Republic of China, led by Zhang Chunxian, member of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.<\/p>\n

Filip and Chunxian agreed about\u00a0the positive dynamic of the bilateral relations, especially China’s efforts in ensuring a sustainable economic growth in Moldova. Filip showed interest in learning the experience of China in implementing difficult structural reforms.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Moldovan Prime-Minister invited the Chinese companies to invest in Moldova, saying that it has access to a market of more than 880 million customers- EU, CIS, Turkey, CEFTA-, and given the seven Free Economic Areas of the countries.<\/p>\n

Filip emphasized the importance of signing a Free Trade Agreement between China and Moldova, mentioning that the feasibility study is under elaboration:<\/p>\n

“A series of consultations have taken place together with the Chinese party, in order to discuss the aspects of the feasibility study on the free trade agreement. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on finishing of the feasibility study is planned to take place on\u00a014-15 of May in China”,\u00a0<\/em>declared PM Filip.<\/p>\n

Zhang Chunxian confirmed the interest of PRC in urgently signing the free trade deal with Moldova.<\/p>\n

The road infrastructure, communications, energy and agriculture sectors and the tourism were some other topics approached in regard to the Chinese-Moldovan collaboration. Special attention was drawn to the imports of Moldovan wines on the Chinese market and the prospective of joint infrastructure projects, such as a highway and a small<\/em>\u00a0nuclear power-plant in Moldova.<\/p>\n
