On April 6th, one of the former Vice-Presidents of the Administration Council of the bank Moldova-Agroindbank, Oleg Paingu, was placed under preventive arrest for 30 days by the judges from Buiucani Court (Chi\u0219in\u0103u), reports realitatea.md<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Paingu was arrested on April 3rd<\/a> by the Anti-Corruption officers and prosecutors in a case where he is accused of abuse of power. In the case related to the frauds at the National Bureau of Car Insurers (BNAA), the banker is accused of illegally demanding his subordinates to accept unauthorized persons in the fraudulent management of BNAA accounts. Thus, the BNAA was defrauded of approximately 15 million lei.<\/p>\n

Three persons, including the former Governor of the Moldovan National Bank<\/a>, are arrested, while a former vice of the BNAA, an Ukrainian citizen, is subject to an international warrant.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
