On average, women from urban areas live 3,7 years longer than those from rural areas.<\/p>\n<p>Moldovan women marry earlier- 25,4 years- than men (28), and especially in rural areas, where the frequency of marriages until 20 is 18,8%.<\/p>\n<p>Moldovan women usually have more degrees of higher education- 23,2%, compared to men&#8217;s 17,4%. The numbers are a bit different for medium education- 60,9% for men and 56,7% for women-, for low skills training- 21,6% for men and 20,2% for women.<\/p>\n<p>An average\u00a0Moldovan woman earns only 86,8% (4235,2 lei- 213 USD) of the salary of a man. Even when it comes to pensions, Moldovan women earn less than men: 1194,6 lei (60 USD) compared to 1588,9 lei in the non-agricultural sector, 988,9 lei (49 USD) compared to 1045,2 lei in the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n<p>The Parliament of Moldova contains only 22 female MPs (21,8%) out of the total number of 101. Liliana Palihovici from the Liberal-Democratic Party holds the seat of Vice-President of the Parliament.
