On January 31st, the Economy Minister of Moldova, Octavian Calm\u00eec, presented<\/a> the objectives and the forecast set for 2017.<\/p>\n

According to Calm\u00eec, the economic growth in 2017 will be mainly driven by the agriculture- 0,7%, industry- 1,2%, services- 3,3%, net taxes for production and imports and gross fixed capital formation- 2,7%. The Economy Minister said that, in order to achieve the prospected growth, Moldovan state would have to follow 52 priorities on the international economic cooperation, business regulation, investment and competition, development of SMEs, commerce, management of public property, quality infrastructure, consumer protection, energetic sector and others.<\/p>\n

Calm\u00eec added that one of the actions related to the set priorities is to launch by July 2017 an\u00a0United Bureau for managing and issuing the permits, or at least 30% of the necessary permits this year. Moreover, the number and costs of licences and permits would be reduced by 20%.<\/p>\n

Speaking about investment, he specified that Moldova targets at approximately 250 million USD of investment, 30% more than in 2016, projecting a 10% increase in exports up to 2,260 billion US dollars. The exports will be supported with some 105,7 million lei, out of which 53,8 millions are expected from external sources. In this regard, forums like “Moldova Business Week 2017”, “Invest in Moldova”, “Pro Export” will be organized to attempt increasing the attractiveness of Moldova for investment.<\/p>\n

Free Economic\u00a0Areas of Moldova are expected to have their investment increased by approximately 86 million USD, their sales by 1,3 billion lei and their employees by 2500 people.<\/p>\n

In the energetic sector, Calm\u00eec forecasts a reduction of resource consumption by 20% (compared to 2016) and the increase of renewable energy sources from 14,2% to 15,2%.<\/p>\n

Moldova will also hold 3 rounds of privatizations in 2017.<\/p>\n
