On January 26th, Moldova’s Government Commission for European Integration, led by Prime-Minister Pavel Filip, examined the report on the progress of the National Action Plan for the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union between 2014 and 2016.<\/p>\n

According to the presented report<\/a>, the quantitative evaluation<\/a> of the progress on implementing the planned actions during 2014-2016 showed a level of 73,73%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the rate of harmonization of the national legislation with the EU acquis, the press-release of the Moldovan Government<\/a> only mentions that it is “increasing”. At the same time, the report shows a disappointing low level of harmonization- 34%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Still, PM Filip seemed satisfied with the progress in 2016, stressing\u00a0that some tasks of the roadmap agreed with Brussels have been fulfilled and that the Action Plan for implementation of the Association Agreement in 2017-2019 has been approved.<\/p>\n

The next meeting of the Commission is planned in March 2017, when the responsible authorities are expected to bring a new report with new results on the implementation.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, one can easily tell that the progress on Association Agreement implementation has been low and inconsistent not only on papers, causing the decrease of trust of Moldovans in the European Union as a tough coordinator of reforms in Moldova.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
