On January 17th, the Buiucani Court of Chi\u0219in\u0103u issued another warrant for 30 days of home arrest for the businessman and Orhei mayor\u00a0Ilan Shor, reports Agora.md<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prosecutor investigating the case, Andrei B\u0103ie\u0219u, declared that the request for home arrest of Shor was accepted with the same reasons, with little exceptions on the need of some expertise of the case.<\/p>\n

On the other side, the defenders of Orhei mayor reiterated their position that the decision is unmotivated and it would contested at the Appeal Court.<\/p>\n

The next court session in Shor’s case will take place on January 23rd.<\/p>\n

Shor is accused<\/a> of obtaining more than 5 billion lei from Banca de Economii in loans, from 4th to 25th of November 2014, the sum being confirmed by the Kroll<\/a> report, and then laundering them through offshore companies.<\/p>\n
