The Democrat oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc reacted to the declaration of the Moldovan President Igor Dodon in Moscow on possibly cancelling<\/a> the Association Agreement with the European Union.<\/p>\n

Plahotniuc stresses, in a Facebook post, that Moldova should not show contradictory signals of foreign policy since it has only the European external vector.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0grey eminence\u00a0<\/em>of the Moldovan politics refers to the press-release of the Democratic Party (which he is leading) on categorically opposing the cancelling of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union. Moreover, the Democrat warns that his Party would politically neutralize any attempt to cancel the agreement, that\u00a0is good, gave results and will give results<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In their press-release<\/a>, the Democrats emphasize that the foreign policy of Moldova is made by democratic exercise of the Parliament and therefore ask President Dodon to refrain from disclosing his personal foreign policy visions.<\/p>\n

Above all, the memorandum of cooperation<\/a> with the Eurasian Economic Union signed by Dodon would be legally invalid, because of no mechanisms to realize this project and no social and political support in Moldova.<\/p>\n
