After the Constitutional Court of Moldova validated<\/a> his election, President-elect Igor Dodon came with a statement asking for his quicker inauguration. <\/p>\n

Dodon said he would ask the President of the Moldovan Parliament, Prime-Minister and head of the Constitutional Court to set the date of his inauguration as soon as possible. According to President-elect, the inauguration day would be set by the Parliament speaker and Constitutional Court not later than December 28th.<\/p>\n

“Finally, after a month of blocking, today the Constitutional Court validated the results of the Presidential elections from November 13th. We all know that the blocking have taken place because of my political opponents that prolonged to maximum extent the date of my entering in position”, mentioned Dodon, probably referring to his counter-candidate’s, Maia Sandu, complaints<\/a> on the frauds and illegalities done during the elections.<\/p>\n

Dodon believes that the blocking of his validation was done intentionally, so that the current government manages to approve “anti-popular reforms”, such as the appointing of the Prosecutor General<\/a>, the opening of NATO center at Chi\u0219in\u0103u<\/a>, the reform of the pensions system<\/a>.<\/p>\n
