Harunjen took oath of office on the same in front of the President Timofti and the members of the Supreme Council of Prosecutors, those who elected him. The ceremony was done without the press and the whole appointment was announced through a press-release.<br \/>\nMoldova\u2019s President-elect, Igor Dodon, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/igor-dodon-prosecutor-general-approved-president-timofti-will-not-legitimacy\/\" target=\"_blank\">blamed<\/a> his former counter-candidates Maia Sandu and Andrei N\u0103stase for not allowing him to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/president-elect-igor-dodon-accuses-former-counter-candidate-maia-sandu-blocking-inauguration\/\" target=\"_blank\">be inaugurated<\/a> and thus favoring the appointing of prosecutor close to oligarch Plahotniuc. Sandu responded to Dodon&#8217;s accusation, saying that he is &#8220;a bad actor&#8221; in &#8220;a bad play&#8221; in agreement with Plahotniuc.<\/p>\n<p>-On December 9th, the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/eduard-harunjen-appointing-moldova-prosecutor-general-challenged-constitutional-court\/\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> it would attack at the Constitutional Court the decision of appointing of Eduard Harunjen in the position of Prosecutor General of Moldova, as it is \u201can anti-citizens decision that violates the right of the citizens to benefit from a real reform of the justice\u201d. The attack will be made through the deputy Grigore Cobzac, who supported the initiative.<\/p>\n<p>-On December 9th, 13 NGOs from Moldova <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/13-ngos-condemn-process-appointing-moldova-prosecutor-general-eduard-harunjen\/\" target=\"_blank\">issued<\/a> an statement to condemn the process of appointing the candidate Prosecutor General, Eduard Harunjen. The civil organization think that the hurried appointing seriously affects the trust in the Prosecution Office and feeds the suspicion that it was made with a specific hidden purpose.<\/p>\n<p>-The former Presidents of the Republic of Moldova, would be given, during 4 years, the right to use cars, guards, to have offices and personal assistants ensured by the state, along with other facilities. The EU will also provide interested SMEs with grant incentives of up to 15 per cent from the loan amount as well as technical assistance in the form of advisory services from international consultants and the EBRD\u2019s Advice for Small Businesses program.<\/p>\n<p>-On December 6th, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/chisinau-receives-e10-million-loan-ebrd-improving-energy-efficiency-public-buildings\/\" target=\"_blank\">signed<\/a> a loan agreement with the City Council of Chi\u0219in\u0103u to provide \u20ac10 million to Moldova\u2019s capital to improve the energy efficiency of its public buildings, under new Green Cities framework. The EBRD funds will finance the renovation of over 100 buildings such as kindergartens, schools and hospitals.
