On November 29th, the Prime-Minister of Moldova, Pavel Filip, met<\/a> with the Secretary General of the NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, to sign the agreement to initiate a civil NATO office at Chi\u0219in\u0103u.<\/p>\n

Stoltenberg emphasized the fact that the center will be a civil and not a military one, because NATO respects the neutrality of the Republic of Moldova.

\n“We are focused on the cooperation with the Republic of Moldova. Its stability and prosperity is important for NATO as well”<\/em>, specified Secretary General.<\/p>\n

In his turn, Filip thanked NATO for cooperation within the Partnership for Peace, especially in the Science Program for Peace and Security, out of which one project dealt with the destruction of a considerable quantity of pesticides and dangerous chemicals.
