The change in Moldova’s Constitution on the designation of the Prosecutor General by President adopted by the Parliament<\/a> is a first step for liberating the country from captivity, thinks President-elect and still MP Igor Dodon.

\n“We will insist that the next Prosecutor General of Moldova nominated by the President must be a competent person, who was not involved in the government acts from the last years, a person who is not controlled by the corrupt system”<\/em>, declared Dodon in a short press-conference after the adoption of the change in the Constitution.<\/p>\n

Asked by the journalists if he would reject one of current candidates for the position of Prosecutor General, Dodon answered that he would ask for another contest, because the candidates have been or are part of the current prosecution system.<\/p>\n
