On November 4th, the Central Electoral Commission of Moldova decided to increase the number of voting bulletins from 2000 to 3000 in 10 voting centers abroad for the second round of the Presidential elections. The decision was made after discussions with representatives of the Moldovan Ministry for Foreign Affairs<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“It was decide to increase from 2000 to 3000 the number of voting bulletins in several stations in Canada and the USA, two stations in Portugal and one in France”<\/em>, specified Commission’s chairman, Alina Russu. The number is accordingly limited to 3000 ballots per polling station.<\/p>\n

CEC also decided to increase the number of electoral members of voting centers up to 11 in order to cope with the possibly increased turnout in the second round.<\/p>\n

Thus, the Moldovan citizens living abroad will be able to vote in 100 voting centers in 33 countries. Most of the voting centers were opened in Italy- 25, Romania- 11, the Russian Federation- 8, the USA- 7, France- 6, Portugal and Spain- 4 each.<\/p>\n
