On November 1st, the Presidential candidate Maia Sandu came with a declaration to ask Moldova’s Parliament and Electoral Commission (CEC) to allow students to vote at the location of their studies and to open more voting centers abroad. <\/p>\n

Sandu asks the Parliament to urgently adopt a law to allow students to vote at the location of their studies. She thinks that the Electoral Commission has the competence to adopt a special decision in this sense too.
\nPAS candidate thinks that a solution to long queues at the voting centers abroad would be to open more voting centers and to allow them to use either their ID or passport.<\/p>\n

“We are asking the Parliament and the CEC to allow our citizens from the Diaspora to vote with the valid ID card. We received several request from our citizens to transmit this message. We also ask the Foreign Ministry and CEC to open more voting centers in places where we have seen queues on October 30th”<\/em>, said Sandu.<\/p>\n

Maia Sandu got 38,71% of the votes in the first round of the Presidential elections of Moldova.
