A new poll published<\/a> by the Institute for Public Policy shows the political preferences of the people of Moldova before the Presidential elections from October 30th. The main topic of the poll states that 84% of the people think things in Moldova are going in the wrong direction.<\/p>\n

The most trustworthy institutions in Moldova remain to be the Church (72,8%), the Local Council (37,6%) and the Mass-Media (30,5%).<\/p>\n

Asked about whom they would vote for at the Presidential elections of Moldova, 27% of the respondents said they would give their vote for the Socialist candidate Igor Dodon<\/a>, 9,3% for PAS candidate Maia Sandu<\/a>, 8,1% for Andrei N\u0103stase (retreated), 7,5% for the Democrat Marian Lupu<\/a> and 5,6% for Dumitru Ciuba\u0219enco<\/a>.
\n25,4% didn’t have an answer, while 9,6% declared they wouldn’t vote or participate at all at the Presidential elections.
\nAsked about who should not be President of Moldova in any case, 43,2% chose Mihai Ghimpu, 34,6% Marian Lupu, 18,6% Igor Dodon, 17,4% Iurie Leanc\u0103, 15,9% Andrei N\u0103stase.<\/p>\n

In the same poll, 38% would vote for joining the European Union in a referendum, while 37,3% would vote against it. At the same time, 52,8% would vote joining the Eurasian Union, opposite to 23,7% who would vote against.
\n15,6% would vote for union of Moldova and Romania, while 63,8% would vote against.
\n48,5% of the respondents declared they would be willing to vote for Moldova rejoining the Soviet Union, opposite to 27,4% against.

\nMoreover, 57% of the people answered they have a positive attitude towards the former Communist regime before 1990.
