The appeal in the case of the former Moldova Prime-Minister Vlad Filat gets complicated, despite less attention from media. After another court session on October 18th, Filat’s lawyer Igor Popa declared that he asked for sanctioning prosecutor Adriana Be\u021bi\u0219or, reports ZdG.md<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Popa declared that the prosecutor left the court session without any cause:
\n“I think that Adriana Be\u021bi\u0219or must be sanctioned for this kind of actions. You can’t be absent from a session without any explanation”<\/em>, stated Popa.
\nMoreover, Popa think the judges of the Appeal Court are “hurrying” this case by organizing a session every day, thus causing an inequitable case.<\/p>\n

According to anticorup\u021bie.md<\/a>, the defendant informed that Ilan Shor would be called for hearing on October 25th. Three witnesses from the Russian Federation were accepted, but put on the responsibility of the defense. Other requested witnesses like Veaceslav Platon, Mihail Goffman and Oleg Reidman were reportedly not accepted by the court.<\/p>\n

The next session will take place on October 19th.
