In fact, the trip was a journey of discovery of his ancestors. Sergio decided to visit Moldova after he traveled to Transylvania and Shargorod, the origins of his mother.<br \/>\n<em><br \/>\n&#8220;I did not expect much of the country and much less the part of tourism. For me visiting the region would be a pilgrimage of my past. I knew almost nothing about what he would find, for me Moldova was an unknown place&#8221;<\/em>, thought Timerman before visiting Moldova. <\/p>\n<p>But when he finally arrived in Chi\u0219in\u0103u, he was surprised and delighted by the capital, which, according to him, is a well-organized, clean city. Nevertheless, he enjoyed even more the traditional &#8220;Zama&#8221; dish and the <em>&#8220;unforgettable countryside with beautiful churches on the top of hills&#8221;<\/em> with caves, referring to Orheiul Vechi monasteries. The city of his father gave him a &#8220;really exciting time&#8221;.<br \/>\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/DSC_8349-696x464.jpg\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What surprised Sergio the most was the Moldovan wine. According to him, Cricova is an absolutely &#8220;unmissable tour&#8221; and Purcari is another big surprise.
