The Russian News Agency RIA Novosti recently published<\/a> a top of the commercial banks from the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (former Soviet countries with the exception of Baltic state). The rating was based on the audit data at international or national standards regarding the assets of the banks, stated in US dollars. <\/p>\n

Three Moldovan banks are included in the RIA banking ranking. The most rated proved to be Moldova Agroindbank, ranked 140th, with 0,93 billion USD in assets and 26,4% share in the Moldovan banking market.
\nThe second best bank from Moldova is Moldindconbank, ranked 152nd, with 0,79 billion USD in assets and 22,4% share in the local market. Moldindconbank was previously suspected of being used for the Russian Laundromat<\/a>.
\nThe third Moldovan in the top is Victoriabank, ranked 177th, with 0,61 billion USD and 17,5% share among Moldovan banks. 27,5% of Victoriabank’s<\/a> shares were recently acquired by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.<\/p>\n

The best ranked banks in the top are Sberbank Russia, Bank VTB, Gazprombank, all from the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

According to the research conducted by RIA, the total value of assets of all of the 200 banks included in the top is 1,19 trillion US dollars, 19% less than in 2015 ($278 billion less).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
