The arrest was applied after a hearing in a case where he is a suspect of tax evasion and money laundering of big amounts. Prosecutor Adriana Be\u021bi\u0219or, who is investigating <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/former-pm-vlad-filat-condemned-9-years-imprisonment\/\" target=\"_blank\">the case of Vlad Filat<\/a>, declared that this case is a different one that the one from 2014, where Shor is already accused.<\/p>\n<p>The General Prosecution Office of Moldova started the investigation regarding the dubious transactions between Banca de Economii, Banca Social\u0103 and Unibank in December 2014. Ilan Shor was the main controlling figure in the three banks.
