The visit is part of agenda of the German Chairmanship at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).<\/p>\n<p>Steinmeier met with the Prime-Minister Pavel Filip and welcomed the reforms started by the Government from Chi\u0219in\u0103u, but also encouraged to work hard to ensure an European future. The German Chairman of the OSCE mentioned the importance of having an agreement with the International Monetary Fund in order to comply with the assumed obligations.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, the main topic of the talks was the Transnistrian dialogue and the outcome of 5+2 negotiations. Steinmeier said he could see progress in the conflict-solving process:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I am in the Republic of Moldova to discuss about this social conflict. We saw efforts put in the restart of the 5+2 discussions. I thank you for this.<br \/>\nIt is good that the Transnistrian conflict didn&#8217;t evolve like Nagorno-Karabakh. The recognition of degrees and the number plates will lead to success. As an OSCE representative, I talk on the basis of a joint agreement on respecting the integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova.
