On July 22nd, the leader of “Our Party” and mayor of B\u0103l\u021bi, Renato Usat\u00eei, was cited by the Prosecution Office of Moldova to give an official confirmation on his statement according to which Democrat Vlad Plahotniuc proposed him 1,5 million USD to be absent from Moldova during the Presidential elections. <\/p>\n

Accordingly, the Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office acknowledged about the declarations made by Usat\u00eei during “Puterea a Patra” TV show at N4, on July 21st. <\/p>\n

Usat\u00eei declared that the offer was given to him at two meetings with Vlad Plahotniuc, on June 6th and 16th at the Global Business Center, the office of the latter. <\/p>\n

“He told about two offers. First: he proposed to leave Moldova in September, October and November, when he would be preparing something. For this, he proposed me 1,5 million US dollars for expenses. Then he came with the second proposal. He told me that he would come with a number after calculating how much I spent in Moldova, so that I definitely leave the politics of Moldova”, declared Usat\u00eei. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The mayor of B\u0103l\u021bi mentioned that in case of accepting, he would have to leave the Moldovan politics because of “health issues”. Moreover, he confessed that he wanted to go for a third time to Plahotniuc to take the money and then present the fact to the society. <\/p>\n
