A mission of experts from the International Monetary Fund is visiting Moldova between July 5th and 15th. The team led by Ivanna Vladkova-Hollar has a mandate to negotiate a financing agreement with the Moldovan Government. Both parties had a first meeting on July 5th.<\/p>\n

Prime-Minister Pavel Filip, National Bank Governor Sergiu Cioclea, the Economy and Finance Ministers Octavian Calm\u00e2c and Octavian Arma\u0219 stressed out the need of an agreement with the IMF in order to implement reforms:<\/p>\n

“Republic of Moldova is in need of stability in order to implement the started reforms. We want to negociate a an agreement with the IMF to ensure sustainable development of the country”, stated Filip.
\nFilip informed that 68% of the required reforms in judiciary, financial, administrative sectors were adopted.<\/p>\n

In her turn, Vladkova-Hollar stressed that the mission wilk take in account the financial sector, the fiscal reforms needed for economical growth, the efficiency of the use of public funds, the increase of income and the decrease of the “black” economy.<\/p>\n

Moldova was stopped from receiving external financial aid from the IMF anf the European Union for the state budget in 2015, after details about the bank frauds from three Moldovan banks came up.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
