Shor himself didn&#8217;t come to the session, claiming he has health problems. <\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Adriana Be\u021bi\u0219or explained that the mandate is reasoned by risks that, in case Ilan Shor is free, he would be able to influence people and to destroy documents, proof in the case:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The reason of the demand is the risks found by prosecutors. If he is free, he would influence people, some documents that we are collecting now would be taken away. Moreover, the transactions of money to the accounts of mobile companies would continue&#8221;, said Be\u021bi\u0219or. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In their turn, the lawyers of Shor declared that the prosecutors didn&#8217;t come with reasoned points, taking in account that Shor was under judiciary control until now. According to them, the presumption of innocence was violated, because the mandate was issued without any good reason for that. Lawyers claim that the prosecutors came with the point that Shor would leave the country as his family lives abroad. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Ilan Shor didn&#8217;t come to this show of the Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office because he is innocent. The health problems of Shor are related to the heart. The arrest was applied after a hearing in a case where he is a suspect of tax evasion and money laundering of big amounts. Prosecutor Adriana Be\u021bi\u0219or, who is investigating the case of Vlad Filat, declared that this case is a different one that the one from 2014, where Shor is already accused.<\/p>\n<p>The General Prosecution Office of Moldova started the investigation regarding the dubious transactions between Banca de Economii, Banca Social\u0103 and Unibank in December 2014. Ilan Shor was the main controlling figure in the three banks.
