The prosecution also asked to apply a fee of 3000 conventional units (150 000 lei) and ban to have public positions for five years, for accusations of passive corruption and influence traffic. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The judiciary debates took place at the new session. All the circumstances, statements of the witnesses and proof were given to the judges. We demanded 19 years of imprisonment for passive corruption, 3000 conventional units and ban of having public positions for five years. On Monday, there will be the last session of the trial and Vlad Filat will say his last words&#8221;, declared Be\u021bi\u0219or. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The prosecutors stated that there is a demand to confiscate all the goods, or at least their value, received from Ilan Shor. Accordingly, Filat didn&#8217;t recognize his guilt and pledges innocent.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyer of Filat, Igor Popa, said that the case has procedure errors and that the punishment is a shame:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;It is not human to ask 19 years of imprisonment. This penal case has multiple violations. 90 percent of the case has poor proof, collected against the law, not speaking about that the prosecutor used only suppositions. Vlad Filat is not guilty, he didn&#8217;t commit any felony.
