The official claimed that his rights were violated and claimed 30 000 as compensation, reports <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bizlaw.md\/2016\/06\/20\/andrian-candu-a-dat-in-judecata-un-post-tv-si-cere-despagubiri-de-30-mii-de-euro-magistratii-nu-stiu-cum-sa-actioneze\/\" target=\"_blank\">bizlaw.md<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Candu had three claims in the beginning: to be published a denial by Jurnal TV, to be asked public excuses and to be paid compensation of 30 thousand euros. The lawyer of Jurnal TV asked the court to take the compensation claim out, because Candu didn&#8217;t finish his first two claims. The law regarding the access to information stipulates that a person who considers a victim of defamation to ask, via a demand, the publishing of a denial in 2- days from learning about the defamation. <\/p>\n<p>The Court of the Centru district of Chi\u0219in\u0103u didn&#8217;t know how to deal with the case, so it asked for consultance from the Supreme Court of Justice. The Supreme Court rejected the demand, stating that the law is sufficiently clear.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Andrian Candu posted a message on his Facebook page, reacting to the publicity of the case:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I want to stress the fact that the authors of that report misinterpreted in a cynical way the goal of one event organized on Children&#8217;s Day for kids at a hospital in Chi\u0219in\u0103u. The sum of 30 thousand euros, mentioned in the press articles, represents the money necessary for the acquisition of two special surgery beds for kids that suffer from serious burns.
