The poll involved 1200 respondents who had to respond on questions of political matter and the future status of the region.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of the status of Transnistria, 86% of people think that adhering to the Russian Federation is the most optimal way of development. At the same time, the idea of reuniting with Moldova is supported by 2%, while the union with Romania is approved only by 1%. The independence supporters account some 9%.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the coming presidential elections in December, 87% said they would surely go to vote for the new leader of the region.<br \/>\nThe leaders of the poll are the current speaker of the Supreme Soviet Vadim Krasnoselskii with 24% and the current president Evgeny Shevchuk with 11%. The latter has the highest rate of disapproval among voters- 50%.<br \/>\nThey represent different camps in the small Transnistrian politics- Krasnoselskii represents &#8220;Obnovlenie&#8221; party (Renewal) influenced by the local company Sheriff, while Shevchuk is the leader of the &#8220;Vozrozhdenie&#8221; party (Revival), enemy of the owners of the latter.<\/p>\n<p>The Presidential elections in Transnistria are to be held in December.
