Liberal Party president, Mihai Ghimpu, is sure that the trial involving ex-PM Vlad Filat is a just one, and not at all political. According to the politician, Filat, the prosecutors and the judges know this case will go as far as the European Court of Human Rights.<\/p>\n

“Nobody wants to play with this. That’s why I think everything is legal. But we know and remember that Vlad Filat won a ECHR case concerning IPTEH”, said Ghimpu. “I know that he is guilty of stealing the billion lei. Filat was a prime-minister, he had direct control over “Banca de Economii”, he had the Ministry of Finance, all the members of the Economic Council were LDPM members.
