Among other significant participants of the Forum named \u201cRepublic of Moldova in new regional context\u201d organized by Vlad Plahotniuc, MBPA invited former president of the European Commission Jose Manule Barroso.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister Pavel Filip also took part in the Forum, spoke about necessity of the reforms and underlined determination of the government to carry out these reforms and continue to hold on to the European ways in the Republic of Moldova. \u201cWe are interested in all clauses of the Association Agreement and signing of the agreement with International Monetary Fund\u201d, Pavel Filip declared.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, he spoke about prioritized measures current government had in mind, namely: stabilization of banking system \u2013 which is also a main question in discussions with IMF, the government proposed objective rights to eliminate once and for all vulnerabilities in banking system; juridical reforms \u2013 realization of a strategy to reform juridical system and means to fight against corruption; securing a space for transparent and correct business dealings.<\/p>\n<p>The government proposed structural reforms of the control authorities. Thus, there are now 69 controlling bodies, but only 10 control authorities and 4 national supervisors will remain. A reduction in half of the permitting documents is also being anticipated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government and the majority of the Parliament guarantee stability in the coming years. No matter what the results of the elections will be, Republic of Moldova is going to be a stable country\u201d &#8211; Pavel Filip insured.<\/p>\n<p>Jose Manuel Barroso inspired Chisinau authorities to continue pro-European reforms and mentioned that they are beneficial for the country\u2019s development. \u201cIt is necessary to create transparent political parties, to reform juridical system, laws which will contribute to the social progress\u201d, Barroso said. He also spoke about the necessity of the continuation of negotiations and signing of an agreement with International Monetary Fund, securing of a high quality business environment, reforms of the state institutions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe forum is taking place in a quite complicated period for the Republic of Moldova. Economic challenges are quite complicated, and the problems that had been accumulated during the long periods of political crises, have been lasting too long. However, we have a stable political majority and a government capable of firm approach to all the problems in the country. The government has begun a hard work that will last for years. The scope is the reformation and modernization of the state institutions, including those related to business environment\u201d, mentioned in his turn the president of the Moldova Business People Association Vlad Plahotniuc.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, Vlad Plahotniuc mentioned control institutions that need reforms in order to eliminate abuses. At the same time, he assumed a new national commitment to contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova, including its business environment. At the same time, Vlad Plahotniuc spoke about the necessity to continue the implementation of pro-European reforms. \u201cWe should go forth the European way, the way that gives us the possibility to achieve economic and social productivity equivalent to what we see and admire daily in European countries\u201d, declared Vlad Plahotniuc.<\/p>\n<p>Slovak expert Igor Barat spoke about the benefits of European integration. \u201cThe experience of the countries that have gone through the transition from communist alliance shows that there are no alternatives. Our future is with EU. All issues that you are experiencing now and will face in future will be easier resolved once we are united in a European community\u201d, declared Barat. He compared the sacrifices required to construct European future with those required to build a house.
