On May 5th, in the morning, the police conducted several searchings at the residences of the suspects who attacked the line of policemen on April 24th during the anti-Governmental protests<\/a> in the capital of Moldova. <\/p>\n

Four people aged between 24 and 50 years old were arrested in Chi\u0219in\u0103u and Mana village, district of Orhei. The suspected protesters are retained for 72 hours. Two of them have penal precedents, including sentences for theft and corporal damage. According to the police, the suspects risk to be imprisoned up to 8 years. <\/p>\n

The Platform “Dignity and Truth” Party, who organized the protests, issued a press-release, asking to free the protesters and to stop actions “of intimidation and terror” against those who reclaimed their constitutional rights. The Platform also states that it will provide juridical assistance to every protester.<\/p>\n
