On Monday, 25th of April, the prosecutors who are investigating the case of the political activist Grigore Petrenco asked the prolongation of the domestic arrest with 30 days, reports Agora.MD<\/a>. According to Petrenco, the demand was based on the claim that he was calling people to mass disorders and violence on April 24th via a Facebook post. <\/p>\n

“The prosecutors brought as proof an article published on Free Europe. I hope that Free Europe didn’t know that it would a “contributor” with us. Another piece of proof is a post on Facebook<\/a> in English from RedstaroverDonbass<\/a> blog”, stated Petrenco.
\n“This is another proof that we have a dictatorial and undemocratic regime”, he highlighted.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Court will decide on April 26th, at 11.30am, whether to prolong the arrest or not.<\/p>\n

The Petrenco group was arrested on 6 of September 2015 during a protest with clashes outside the building of the General Prosecution Office. Then, Petrenco and his fellows wanted to establish a tent camp to protest, but they were blocked by the policemen and accused of carrying too much metal with them. Before that, Petrenco was a Communist deputy in the Parliament of Moldova and a representative in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
\nThe members of the Petrenco group, and specifically Grigore Petrenco, Pavel Grigorciuk and Mihai Amemberg, were freed<\/a> from arrest on 22nd of February, after some Socialist MPs offered warranty for them.
