It is an unfounded decision. That message from Facebook is at the base of the arrest (decision- Moldova.ORG). The law says precisely that the prolonging of the arrest can be done only if there is new proof. This message is not proof. How can Vlad Filat intimidate the witnesses via Facebook? It is a political case. Filat will not have an equitable trial&#8221;, stated Popa. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Moreover, the lawyer showed his surprise that the mayor of Orhei and former head of the Council of Banca de Economii, Ilan Shor, is still free and makes statements, and this thing &#8220;is not intimidating the witnesses&#8221; to prosecutors. Popa also announced that he asked to retreat prosecutor Adriana Be\u021bi\u0219or from the case, because she reportedly &#8220;violated the presumption of innocence&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>Right after the decision of the court, a new post appeared on Filat&#8217;s page, &#8220;hoping that the prosecutors and the judges will react and will act quickly, after they read the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/second-kroll-report-fraudulent-transactions-350-million-us-dollars-identified\/\" target=\"_blank\">report posted by National Bank of Moldova<\/a> on the big frauds from the banks&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>Recently, several posts and personal messages of Filat regarding the case appeared on his Facebook page. After it, General Prosecutor Office announced that it will check the real author of the posts. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/ex-pm-vlad-filat-remains-under-arrest-despite-abuse-of-time-limit\/\" target=\"_blank\">Former PM<\/a> is accused of receiving money and goods worth some 250 000 US dollars from the businessman Ilan Shor during his premiership for offering some preferential services.
