The Socialists and the Communists refused to vote for him, doubting his integrity by mentioning his three citizenships and asking why he left the well-paid job at BNP Paribas. As an answer, Cioclea stated that his Romanian citizenship is a &#8220;soul citizenship&#8221;, while the French one was offered after he studied, lived and paid taxes in France for more than 3 years. <\/p>\n<p>Sergiu Cioclea is 42 years old and has an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parlament.md\/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=8YLB6NogZX4%3D&amp;tabid=224&amp;language=ro-RO\" target=\"_blank\">experience<\/a> of more than 17 years in the financial-banking sector. Cioclea got his master and post-graduate degree at the University Pantheon-Assas from Paris. He speaks Romanian, English, French, Russian and holds three citizenships: Moldova, Romania and France.<br \/>\nAccording to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rise.md\/contract-guvernatorul-cioclea-a-consultat-statul-in-cazul-bem\/\" target=\"_blank\">RISE Moldova<\/a>, Sergiu Cioclea was involved in the privatizing of 56,13% of shares of Banca de Economii by BNP Paribas in 2008, process demanded by the International Monetary Fund for a financial assistance program for Moldova.
