The former Prime-Minister of Moldova and Liberal-Democrat leader, Vlad Filat, will be judged furthermore under arrest, after the Appeal Court rejected the demands of his lawyers to cancel his arrest. <\/p>\n

The prosecutor that manages the case of Filat, Adriana Be\u021bi\u0219or, didn’t make any statement. <\/p>\n

The lawyer of Filat, Igor Popa, declared that the decision is illegal and unfounded, because the law in Moldova says that a person cannot be held in preventive arrest more than 90 days. <\/p>\n

This is a illegal and absolutely unfounded decision. We are even shocked by the attitude of this court. Abuse and violation of rights have been made towards pur client Vlad Filat. He is retained illegally these days, because once the rule of the Constitutional Court is approved, the 90 days mandate of arrest is stopped and he must be freed. The next demand of arrest is issued for 1 of March, but we hope he must be freed until then”, told Popa. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Vlad Flat, arrested on October 15th 2015, thinks his case is a political one and there is no evidence to prove his guilt. <\/p>\n

Former PM is accused of receiving money and goods worth some 250 000 US dollars from the businessman Ilan Shor during his premiership for offering some preferential services.
