A team of experts from the International Monetary Fund, led by Ivanna Vladkova-Hollar, will visit the Republic of Moldova between 23 and 29 of February.<\/p>\n

The goals of the new mission are to refresh the information regarding the recent economic evolution, to discuss the policies adopted by the Moldovan authorities towards maintaining the macroeconomic stability and how to improve the governance. <\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the mission doesn’t have the mandate to negotiate a new financial assistance program, thus the results won’t be discussed by the Council of Executive Directors of IMF.<\/p>\n

Moldova was suspended from the financial assistance from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund in 2015, after the information about the theft of one billion US dollars was made public. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
