Although the assigning of new candidate Prime-Minister Pavel Filip and the prospective of a new Government led by the Democrats caused mass displease and protests in Moldova, this move was welcomed by two of its main international partners: Romania and the United States of America. <\/p>\n

Called by the Democrat speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Andrian Candu, the Romanian President Klaus Johannis expressed his hope that a Government eager to satisfy the needs of the people will be soon designated. Johannis stressed the importance of assuming the responsibility of implementing reforms for the people and the conditions of the Association Agreement with the European Union, but also the joint projects with Romania. <\/p>\n

On the other hand, Victoria Nuland, the assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian affairs, suggested the American support at a press conference at the US Embassy in Bucharest, Romania. <\/p>\n

On the security level, Nuland assured that Romania and the USA has security programs for Moldova and Moldova has only to have an open Government in order to benefit from them.<\/p>\n

The American official opinionated that Moldova should restart the reforms “in a European style”: reforms in the banking system, judicial system, financial one, but also to retry the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund. <\/p>\n

Nuland had quite a controversial statement, saying that the US supports “people’s willing to have responsible leaders that can implement together a programme of reforms”, while the same “people” protest almost every day in Chi\u0219in\u0103u against the new Government and the new highly disliked Parliamentarian majority.<\/p>\n

It is rather a bad surprise for the citizens of Moldova that the partners with the most realistic vision, the USA and Romania, have come to supporting the hated “oligarchic” majority in the Parliament, led by the Democrats and by the oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc in particular. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
