Even if the President Nicolae Timofti rejected Vlad Plahotniuc as the candidate Prime-Minister of Moldova based on integrity issues, the Parliamentary majority of 56 MPs signed a declaration which underlines the importance of the nominalisation. Thus, the deputies insist on assigning Plahotniuc as chief of the Moldovan Government.<\/p>\n

According to the declaration, President Timofti doesn’t have the right to reject the candidate proposed by a majority in the Parliament, a position stated recently by the Constitutional Court. <\/p>\n

The declaration was signed by the leader of the Democrats, Marian Lupu, the leader of the 14 former Communists, Violeta Ivanov, the Liberal leader, Mihai Ghimpu, by Ion B\u0103lan, leader of the separated Liberal-Democrats, who together represent 56 members of the Parliament. <\/p>\n
