While the negotiations within the majority formed in the Parliament of Moldova<\/a> are being held, mass protests took place in the center of the capital Chi\u0219in\u0103u. The protest was organized by the Platform “Dignity and Truth”.<\/p>\n

The supporters of the Platform asked President Nicolae Timofti to not accept the candidate proposed by the Democrat Party. They motivated, through their leader Andrei N\u0103stase, this demand with the claim of “opposing the coming of political criminals to power”. The Platformists are still in favor of organizing a referendum regarding the election of the President and of organizing preliminary Parliamentary elections. <\/p>\n

Then, the protesters went in a march to the office of the Democrat Party, where they shouted messages against the leadership of the Democrats and specifically against the oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc. The march continued to the offices of the Liberal-Democrats, Liberals and the Communists, as a sign to protest against the nontransparent and corrupted majority. <\/p>\n

The recent negotiations were joined by the entire caucus of the Liberal-Democrats, but the party stressed that it will decide whether to vote the Government only after the Democrats make the name of the candidate PM public. <\/p>\n
