On Sunday, 10 of January, after the republican council of Liberal Party, its leader, Mihai Ghimpu, declared that his party would support any candidate for the seat of Prime-Minister of Moldova. <\/p>\n

We are ready to negotiate, to discuss about forming a majority and to see the candidate. There are some names: Lupu, Candu, Plahotniuc. Let’s see who will be candidate from the behalf of the Democrat Party”, told Ghimpu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Asked if he would vote together with the 14 former Communists, the Liberal leader said his party would do anything “for the country, for Europe”, even if, before the New Year’s Eve, was rejecting this possibility. <\/p>\n

This statement comes in the context when yesterday the Liberal-Democrats announced they would negotiate a majority, but they want reforms. <\/p>\n

Thus, the candidate proposed by the Democrats would get support from the Democrat caucus itself, the Liberals, the 14 former Communists, the group led by former PM Iurie Leanc\u0103, and why not by the core Communists and Liberal-Democrats, left outside.
\nOnly the Socialists announced through their leader Igor Dodon that they won’t negotiate anything with the President and that they are preparing for the preliminary elections, deadly for the others. <\/p>\n
