The arrest mandate of the ex-Prime-Minister Vlad Filat was prolonged with 90 days by the Court of Buiucani, Chi\u0219in\u0103u, on January 5.
\nThe process was held with closed doors, as prosecutors asked, even if the lawyers of the politician said they would contest the decision at the Appeal Court. <\/p>\n

The prosecutor Adriana Be\u021bi\u0219or motivated the demand to keep the doors closed:<\/p>\n

“Some accusation were sent to the court for the background examination, while others are still being examined and need not to be made public. This is why we asked the judges to organize a closed process”, told Be\u021bi\u0219or. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The main lawyer of Filat, Igor Popa, declared that the decision is illegal and will be contested at the Appeal Court. Accordingly, the prosecutor gave the penal case to Filat only today, while the lawyers had only two days to study the 22 volumes of the folder and didn’t manage to prepare a good defense. <\/p>\n
