The life of Damiano, a 5-years old boy from Chi\u0219in\u0103u with mobility disabilities, is now easier due to the help of the American student Tim Balz, helped by his mates from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology<\/a>.

Tim got to know Damiano, who suffers from cerebral paralysis, last summer<\/a> when he helped other children with disabilities. Thus, Tim headed to the USA to find solutions for the little boy. <\/p>\n

Damiano’s mother, Dorina \u0218alpuc, encourages him to be independent: <\/p>\n

“The children with special needs need to learn, despite difficulties, to be on their own- to eat, to dress, to go to the toilet”, says Dorina.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In order to be more independent, Damiano needed equipment for daily vertical exercises. <\/p>\n

Back in the US, while working with a clinic from Chicago, Tim was helped by the doctors to find the necessary equipment for the little boy from Moldova.<\/p>\n

The machine needed by Damiano is called Gait Trainer and costs approximately 4000 US dollars. Nevertheless, there was no need to find financial resources, because Tim and his mates are engineers and built it by themselves.
