The Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, became the Knight of Order of the Republic of Moldova. The designation decree was signed by the Moldovan President, Nicolae Timofti, on November 12th and published in the Official Monitor on November 20th.<\/p>\n

“The High Decree of the Republic is offered to Her Excellence, mrs. Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, as a sing of profound gratitude for Her contribution to the development and consolidation of the Moldo-German relations of friendship and collaboration and for the constant support of the efforts of European Integration of the Republic of Moldova”, reads the Presidential decree.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
