On October 20th, the European Court for Human Rights, represented by a set of 5 judges, rejected the appeal made by the Russian Federation to resend the case of Vadim Pisari to the Great Chamber, reports Promo-LEX<\/a>.
\nRussia’s demand was based on the 43rd article of the ECHR Convention, which allows parts to appeal for reexamination. <\/p>\n

The case of Vadim Pisari’s killing from 2012<\/a> is a clear example of intrusion of the Russian forces in the internal affairs of Moldova and in the life of its citizens. <\/p>\n

The incident took place on January 1st 2012, at 7.10 am, at the trilateral checkpoint nr.9 from Pirita village, on the \u201cborder\u201d between Moldova and its separatist region, Transnistria, when a soldier of the Russian peace-keeping forces shot several times in the direction of Vadim Pisari\u2019s car. Vadim, born in 1993, died at the Emergency Hospital in Chisinau.<\/p>\n

The Russian Federation was punished for violating the article nr.2 of the European Convention and the basic right of a human being- the right to life<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Civil society from Moldova warned the international community of the threat posed by the positioning of Russian troops on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, especially because Transnistria is not controlled by the legal authorities.
\nThe Promo-LEX lawyers stressed that the location of the peace-keeping forces should be revised and that these troops should be deployed in other area, where they are more necessary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
