On 24 October, leaders of the ruling alliance convened in a meeting and discussed more issues, among which censure motion of Strelet government. At the end of the event, the leaders expressed their opinions about the situation, reports Moldpres<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet said that the discussion had been a productive one, and the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) proposed to set up a working group meant to elaborate an action plan till 29 October.<\/p>\n

“I proposed to create a working group meant to elaborate an action plan and to point out the goals, issues focused on judiciary system and Prosecutor General’s Office, as well as economic and social actions”, he said.<\/p>\n

The leader of the Democratic Party (PD), Marian Lupu, noted that restoring parliamentary majority was a priority for the ruling alliance. “We do not need now working groups and papers, we need results. We have to rebuild parliamentary majority and to hold talks with non-affiliated people. We do not want to blackmailed, and the situation is rather difficult”, Lupu said.<\/p>\n

He criticised the initiatives presented during the last days by the PLDM lawmakers, including the one related to organisation of a special parliament meeting with participation of protesters from “Demnitate si Adevar” (Dignity and Truth) platform.<\/p>\n

The leader of the Liberal Party (PL), Mihai Ghimpu, said that his faction would not vote for dismissing the current government. “We have a government plan, AIE 3 agreement, there are commitments to foreign partners”, Ghimpu said.<\/p>\n
