The Pro-Russian front of Moldova’s politics, represented by the Party of Socialists’ and “Our Party”, protested on Sunday, September 27th, outside the Parliament. Even if the protest was mainly disliked by the civic protesters of the Dignity City (Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth”), the leaders Igor Dodon and the oligarch Renato Usatyi gathered around 3000 people around themselves.<\/p>\n

Close to their installed tents<\/a>, the Pro-Russians installed a scene and presented their demands in front of the public.<\/p>\n

Their demands had been classified in three steps:<\/p>\n

I:-The resignations of the General Prosecutor, the director of the Secret Services, the presidents of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Court of Accounts, the chairmen of the Anti-Corruption Center, National Committee of Integrity and the Electoral Commission, and the manager of the national TV channel Moldova1;<\/p>\n

-Lifting the immunity for the member of the Parliament and for those involved in the theft of one billion euros\/dollars from three banks;<\/p>\n

-Freeing the persons arrested on September 6th for protesting;<\/p>\n

II: -The resignation of the President Nicolae Timofti;<\/p>\n

-The resignation of the Government led by Valeriu Strelet;<\/p>\n

-Modifying the 78th article from the Constitution, to ease the procedure of electing a President;<\/p>\n

III: Preliminary Parliamentary elections, no later than Spring 2016.<\/p>\n

After declaring this statement, some of the protesters led by Dodon and Usatyi went in a car march to Condrita, the residence of the President, to present their ultimatum: resignation until October 2nd or “a B plan will be applied”.<\/p>\n

The spokesman of the President later declared for NewsMaker that the resignation will not be done.<\/p>\n
