The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation is angry about the idea of the Moldovan Minister Anatol Salaru to create a Museum of Soviet Occupation<\/a>. The Russian Ministry qualified the removal of the tanks as an insult.<\/p>\n

It is cynical that the authorities from Chisinau take this kind of actions in the year when we celebrate 70 years of the victory against the fascism”, reads a press-release of the Russian diplomacy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Furthermore, the Russians accused the Moldovan authorities of passivity towards the vandalism done on the monuments of the World War II, claiming that Moldova violates the conditions of an agreement of the Community of Independent States, formed for the sake of “perpetuation of the memory to the courage and heroism of the nations of CIS during the War for Defending the Motherland from 1941-1945”.
\nThe decision regarding the Museum was signed by the Defense Minister, Anatol Salaru, last week. As Salaru said, the foundation of the Museum is necessary for the young people to know the historical truth and the consequences of that period of time.
