The Wine of Moldova will participate for the first time, on 26-27 of August, at the biggest evaluation of top wines from Romania and the Republic of Moldova.The wines voted by the international experts will be included in the first edition of the Wine Book of Romania and the Republic of Moldova<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event will take part in Cund village, Mures county, in Romania, where the jury will taste and evaluate approximately 250 selected wines. Republic of Moldova will be represented by 46 wines, produced by 16 companies.<\/p>\n

“Only few months ago, the Wine of Moldova won dozens of gold and silver medals<\/a> at Bucharest and now the Wine Book allows us to integrate our products in a large cultural context, relevant for the consumers. It is quite natural for us to be part of this project, because Moldova and Romania have always cultivated the same grape species, representative only for this geographic and cultural area<\/strong>“, told Dumitru Munteanu, the chairman of the Moldovan Office of Wine.<\/p>\n

The jury of “The Wine Book of Romania” is formed out of 8 international experts, 3 of which owns the title of Master of Wine: Caroline Gilby (UK), Rod Smith (France), Luiz Alberto (Brazil). The others are Paul Robert Blom (Netherlands), Helmuth Koecher (Italy), Zoltan Szoverdfi-Szep (Romania), Cosmin Grozea (Romania), Mi Yeun Hong (South Korea).<\/p>\n

The bilingual volume of “The Wine Book of Romania” will be launched in March 2016, being destined to cultural institutes, embassies of Romania and the Republic of Moldova, international fairs and festivals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
