63 applications from small and medium enterprises willing to use innovations in their businesses were received during the first days of the call for proposals within the \u2018Innovative business development for local sustainable economic growth\u2019 Project, implemented by UNDP with the financial support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Orange Moldova Foundation.<\/p>\n

Thus, 63 entrepreneurs who, with the help of available grants, intend to modernize and increase the efficiency of their enterprises, already filled in the application at the project\u2019s web page, www.inobiz.md<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The grants competition is eligible for micro-, small and medium enterprises founded at least two years before the application date, planning to implement innovations in their activities. The maximum grant amount is USD 8,000 or 60% of the total budget of the project, the applicant covering not less than 40% of the total value.<\/p>\n

According to Dumitru Vasilescu, Project Manager, up to 100 innovative projects will receive funding within the grants competition: \u2018We are sure that innovative enterprises, beyond becoming more efficient and profitable, will also generate new employment opportunities at local level, which is one of our priorities.\u2019<\/p>\n

The deadline for submitting applications is 27 July 2015, 5pm local time.<\/p>\n
