The Pro-Russian leader of the Socialists’ Party of Moldova, Igor Dodon, would have arranged schemes of corruption with Russian businessmen and the Russian Agency for Health Security, Rosspotrebnadzor.<\/p>\n

At least, this is claimed by the Moldovan blogger, Veaceslav Balacci, who published documents that prove that<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The documents present Dodon’s close ties with Nikolai Lutsik, the owner of\u00a0\u041c\u041e\u041b\u0414\u0410\u0412\u0421\u041a\u0418\u0419 \u0421\u0422\u0410\u041d\u0414\u0410\u0420\u0422 S.R.L., a wine-making company with links in Russia. The company is getting the profits out of Moldova through off-shores like Belize, without paying any taxes.<\/p>\n

Dodon’s role was and still is to get links with Rosspotrebnadzor, in order to allow the import of Moldovan goods only for several companies, despite the Russian embargo.<\/p>\n

He started to charge his services since he was assigned as the Minister of Economy in 2006, in the period of the Communist Government. Then, he approved a special law that empowered him to choose within a special commission which companies can import products in Moldova.<\/p>\n

Dodon formed a whole scheme of monopolizing the meat imports in Moldova, by giving authorization only for the Meat Mafia, including Lutsik. As Balacci says, Igor Dodon used to colect 10% out of the value of each import contract.\u00a0The law which enriched Dodon was abolished by the Pro-European Government in 2009, but at that moment, the future leader of the new Socialist’s Party was enough rich to spend a lot of money on future successful electoral campaigns.<\/p>\n

Being called by Moldova.ORG, Igor Dodon said that this is not the first time when he is accused of these schemes and called the information as “nonsense”.<\/p>\n

“They wrote it in 2009 and 2010. The oligarchs don’t have other arguments”, added Dodon, whose party has 24 seats in the Moldovan Parliament and half of the seats in the city councils around the country.<\/p>\n
